Due to a service taking place at the Minster, our rehearsal on Ash Wednesday has to be moved and will take place at Ewesley Road Methodist Church, Chester Road, Sunderland, starting at the usual time.

A date for your diary. On Friday June 6th 2014 we are taking over the restaurant of The Rosedene, Queen Alexandra Road, Sunderland, SR2 9BT, to hold a dinner for members and their families, patrons and friends. Details will be circulated shortly but the cost will be £20 per person (excluding drinks). It will be a great opportunity for everyone to mix in a more social setting.

The Spring session will begin on Wednesday 8th January 2014 at 7.00 p.m. in Sunderland Minster, to prepare Bach – St.Matthew Passion for the concert to be given on April 12th 2014.

Please note the earlier start at 7.00 p.m. To accommodate the work, all of the rehearsals for this concert will begin at the earlier time. Scores will be given out at the start of this rehearsal so please also remember your score hire money (if applicable) of £6 in a named envelope to assist the Librarian.

The Annual General Meeting of the Society will be held on Wednesday 4th September 2013 in Sunderland Minster starting at 7.30 p.m.

The first rehearsal of the 2013 – 2014 season will be on Wednesday 11th September 2013 at 7.30 p.m. in Sunderland Minster to prepare for the Brahm’s Requiem concert on Saturday December 7th 2013.

The first rehearsal of the summer session will be on Wednesday April 10th 2013 at 7.30 p.m in Sunderland Minster. We hope to see you there to start preparations for the Sage concert on July 7th 2013.
