Due to events at the Minster we are having to hold two rehearsals at Ewesley Road Methodist Church :

On Wednesday 28th January 2015 – This rehearsal will commence at 7.00 p.m. for those taking part in the performance to be given in the Bridges, and at 7.30 p.m. for everyone else.

On Wednesday 18th February 2015 – Rehearsal at 7.30 p.m.

Please bear these changes in mind.

Rehearsals will start again on Wednesday 7th January 2015 to begin preparing for our next concert on Saturday March 28th 2015. Please arrive in plenty of time to receive your ‘Music Makers’ score to ensure that the rehearsal can begin promptly.

Spirit of Christmas poster

The poster was originally A5 size but it will print up to A4 size.

In the light of there only being 35 members present at the scheduled AGM held on Wednesday 3rd September and our Constitution requiring an attendance of 40 at the meeting for it to be quorate, an additional General Meeting of the Society will be held on Wednesday 17th September 2014 at Sunderland Minster starting at 9.00 p.m., after the usual rehearsal.

As the usual annual reports were given to the meeting on the 3rd, the only items on the agenda for the meeting on the 17th September will be the election of Officers and Representatives and a vote on the options for Succession Arrangements (as per the agenda in your circulation – please bring your Options paper which will be used as a voting paper).

You received information about this with the Chairman’s letter. Please respond to this kind invitation as soon as possible so that everything can be organised.

The Annual General Meeting of the Society will take place on Wednesday 3rd September 2014 in Sunderland Minster starting at 7.30 p.m.

As the minutes of the last meeting are always so substantial, this year we are providing an electronic copy of last year’s minutes as a .pdf file through the link below. For any members who do not have the opportunity to access this, the Secretary will hold some paper copies which can be requested from her before the AGM meeting but these will not be circulated with the Chairman’s letter, as was the normal practice. However other AGM papers, such as the Agenda, will be circulated as normal.
