Would you like to sing along with us? Join Bishopwearmouth Choral Society or Bishopwearmouth Young Singers. There are currently vacancies in all sections of the Society.For information on rehearsals, concerts, concert dress etc please see the Concerts and Rehearsals page.
Please fill out an enquiry form on the Contacts page to express your interest in becoming a member, contact the Secretary or come along to any rehearsal.
After a few weeks a small audition will be required before performing in a concert. Section Representatives greet all members prior to each rehearsal and mark a register. Attendance at 75% of the rehearsal sessions is required before participation in any concert. Members who can not fulfill this obligation may approach the conductor and request permission to take part. This may be granted. Subscriptions must be paid in full before participating in a concert in order to ensure that members are fully covered by insurance.

Start of summer session
The first rehearsal of the summer session will be on Wednesday April 10th 2013 at 7.30 p.m in Sunderland Minster. We hope to see you there to start preparations for the Sage concert on July 7th 2013.
A Date for your Diary
Arrangements are in hand to organise a (very) social evening for Choral Society members, family and friends on Saturday 20th April, to take place in Whitburn Church School House, Sandy Chare, Whitburn, SR6 7JZ. Details to follow shortly.
Rehearsal – 13th February 2013
As this is Ash Wednesday, arrangements have had to be made for the rehearsal to be moved from the Minster. This will now take place at Ewesley Road Methodist Church, Chester Road, Sunderland starting at the usual time.
2013 New Year, new work, first rehearsal.
The first rehearsal of the new year will be on Wednesday 9th January 2013, at 7.30 p.m. in Sunderland Minster to start and prepare for the concert to be held on March 23rd in Sunderland Minster.
