Concerts & Rehearsals

Our concerts take place three times a year during December, March/April and June. The Society occasionally participates in other events in the North-east region.

Choral Society rehearsals are held on Wednesday at 7:30pm at Sunderland Minster, High Street West (opposite The Empire Theatre), Sunderland.

Concert dress is a long black skirt or smart black ankle length trousers with a long sleeved white blouse for the ladies and a dinner jacket / dark suit, white shirt and black bow tie for the gentlemen.

As far as possible the Committee plans the concert programme several years in advance. Scores are available for hire at £5.00 per term, alternatively members may purchase their own.

Bishopwearmouth Young Singers rehearsals are held on Mondays between 7:00pm and 8:30pm at Ewesley Road Methodist Church.
