You may not have realised it but our next season, 2008/2009, with be the 60th Anniversary Season of the the formation of Bishopwearmouth Choral Society.
To mark this there are a variety of social occasions being planned, as well as the regular concerts which will feature works associated with our history. All patrons, past members and present friends of the Society would be most welcome to join in these special events – full details will be publicised here for you to add in to your diaries.

We invite you to come and join us in the hall of Ewesley Road Methodist Church (Chester Road) for our Autumn Fayre. Entrance is only £1.00 and includes coffee, which you can enjoy in between buying from a range of stalls including crafts, Christmas gifts, cakes, books and White Elephants. A Saturday evening concert in the City Hall, Newcastle.

This now annual charity evening is organised by the North east Promenaders against Cancer (NEPAC) and raises money for local cancer research and care for local people.
The featured artists this year are the English Philharmonic Orchestra, violinist Bradley Creswick and singers Janice Cairns – soprano, Suzanne Manuell – soprano and Blake Fischer – tenor. These artists will be backed up by a magnificent choir of over 200 voices from the local Bishopwearmouth Choral Society, the Ryton Choral Society and the Hexham Abbey Festival Choir.
